Sarah Shropshire, LMT
Founder, In Private Practice

When I started my private practice in 2004, my motto was “Grow Who You Are” –  and my practice grew quickly, very strong and busy, seeing about 30 clients a week. I focused on helping clients while billing insurance for manual therapy and teaching how to apply techniques at home. My practice grew to 15 other therapists with me, support staff etc until 2008.

My daughter and I was involved in a head on collision, as we were headed to the office, which made everything change!  You see I had a decision to make. I could either close my practice, because I couldn’t physically do all the work or I could do what I’m doing now:  Helping others Grow Who You Are.  My focus during my recovery was to support the therapists while they supported their clients.

In addition, for years I have been focused as a mom to help figure out why my daughter lives with constant pain since she was a young child.  This is what started me in the wellness world. I was introduced to the power of essential oils, then to massage therapy, then…. join me as I apply what I have learned over the years to help you.  My daughter is grown now and she helps me out when she can.

We were finally able to get answers to my daughter's chronic pain and discovered that everything in this journey of discovery and healing fit into her pain management plan.  I have been able to modify what I used to do and see clients again.

I believe certain things happen that could be deemed a travesty – but we all have a choice.  I chose to learn from it, grow from it and then help others grow. I’m not the person I was 20 years ago, and I’m so grateful to my family in supporting my “Growing Who I Am.”  I look forward to working with you.

My name is Sarah, and here’s to growing who you are.
